May W. Newburger Women's Roll of Honor Set for March 26

Eighteen women living in North Hempstead will be honored this month for the 22nd Annual May W. Newburger Women’s Roll of Honor, in celebration of Women’s History Month.
North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and Town Clerk Wayne Wink announced the honorees Thursday.
This year’s breakfast will take place Thursday, March 26, from 8-10 a.m., at the Clubhouse at Harbor Links in Port Washington. Reservations are required.

“I am proud to honor these outstanding women for their great contributions to North Hempstead,” Event chairperson Wayne Wink said. “Each of these women reflects the best that our communities have to offer and they deserve to be recognized for their efforts.”
“North Hempstead has no shortage of inspirational women who give so much of themselves to their communities,” said Supervisor Bosworth.

Since 1994, North Hempstead has held the Women’s Roll of Honor breakfast to honor women who have made a contribution to their community, or have accomplished a significant achievement through public or private efforts.
North Hempstead resident Shirley Romaine will continue the tradition of reciting an inspirational message at the breakfast.
To attend the Women’s Roll of Honor Breakfast, contact the Town Clerk’s Office at 516-869-7646 to reserve a seat. The event remains free of charge, and reservations will be available on a first come first serve basis.
