Mojo Stumer Associates Revitalizes 277 Northern Blvd into Striking Global Headquarters

Great Neck, NY (Sep 29, 2025) — Mojo Stumer Associates, a renowned Long Island-based architecture and interior design firm, proudly unveils its latest commercial project, WEGO Chemical HQ, in Great Neck. The redesign reflects the company’s forward-thinking brand while elevating both form and function through innovative, modern architecture.

The project transformed a dilapidated 1960s office building — plagued by structural deficiencies, failing windows, and an outdated façade — into a modern corporate landmark. Mojo Stumer reimagined the structure both inside and out, giving it a new identity aligned with Wego’s international brand.

“Wego Chemical HQ is proof that thoughtful design can breathe new life into even the most neglected structures,” said Joe Yacobellis, Partner at Mojo Stumer Associates. “Our goal was to not only correct the building’s deficiencies, but to create a bold new identity that gives the building a fresh life and purpose.”

The exterior was completely redesigned with layered metal panels, vertical fins, frameless glass, and OKO Skin fibre cement cladding in varied greys. Composite wood-look louvres add warmth while providing sun control, and extended floor assemblies create dynamic overhangs and canopies. A new entry sequence with elongated steps and a custom canopy enhances the headquarters’ street presence.

Inside, a total gut renovation created a modern, light-filled workplace. A double-height reception connects the second and third floors, bringing natural light deep into the building. Light wood millwork, curved slatted walls, and exposed ceilings define an interior that balances professionalism with a welcoming atmosphere.

“From façade to interior, every decision was about transformation,” added Yacobellis. “It’s a reminder that you don’t always need to tear a building down to achieve something extraordinary. With the right vision, renovation can deliver modern architecture of the highest caliber.”
