Woman Killed in Great Neck Parking Accident

A woman was killed by her own vehicle when it rolled onto her on Tuesday evening, Nassau County Police said.

Pepe Chouake, 82, of Little Neck, had just parked in a spot at 90 Horace Harding Boulevard, according to police, and was stepping out of the car when it began rolling backwards.

Police said Chouake was knocked to the ground and run over by the car, which came to a stop on top of her.

She was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:03 p.m.
