The man, 43, was found hiding in a shed, and when officers brought him home, they found he had shot his father, 75, police say.
DIX HILLS, NY — A Dix Hills man was arrested in connection with fatally shooting his father early Wednesday, Suffolk police said.
Police were called to a Seaman Neck Road home around 7:25 a.m. after a 911 caller reported a man hiding in their shed, police said.
When police arrived, it was determined the man, Christopher Miller, 43, had been injured in a motor vehicle crash earlier in the week and had recently been released from a nearby hospital, police said.
