Man Shot At Long Island House Party With 400 Guests
Three people, including the homeowner were arrested, Saturday night, police say.

DIX HILLS, NY – One person was shot and three people were arrested after a fight broke out at a Long Island house party Saturday night, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, Second Precinct officers responded to a 911 report of a man shot at 2 Langhans Court around 10:30 p.m. A party was being held at the home, with about 400 people in attendance, police said.
A verbal argument took place between people at the party and at some point during the argument, a person fired at least one round from a gun. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a large crowd of people fighting outside the home, police said. Due to the large number of people involved, additional officers from various precincts were called to the scene to restore order.

A 34-year-old man was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his arm. Police did not release his name.
The homeowner, Rodney Jones, 45, was arrested and charged with second degree criminal nuisance. Travis James, 36, of Brooklyn, and Shamel Williams, 35, of Brooklyn, were arrested and charged with second degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.
