15-Year-Old Shot In The Stomach In Harlem: Police

A teenager is in stable condition after getting shot Sunday night at West 135th Street and Lenox, police said.

HARLEM, NY — A teenager was shot in Harlem on Sunday night, a police spokesperson told Patch.

The 15-year-old got shot in the stomach around 10 p.m. at West 135th and Lenox, police said.

He was transported to the nearby Harlem Hospital, where he remains in stable condition, police said.

Officers recovered a gun at the scene, but there have been no arrests, police said.

The NYPD spokesperson told Patch that the teenager was known to police, and the New York Post reported that he had been arrested last week due to illegal gun possession.

Police did not provide a description of the suspects.
