2 Killed In Harlem Brownstone Fire, 2 Others Hospitalized: FDNY
The blaze ripped through a four-story brownstone near Malcolm X Boulevard late Friday night, authorities said.

HARLEM, NY - Two people died and two others were hospitalized in a fire that ripped through a Harlem brownstone apartment building late Friday night, authorities said.
The fire at 107 West 132 St. near Malcolm X Boulevard was reported about 11:45 p.m. on the second floor of the four-story building, fire officials said.
25 units, including 106 fire and medical personnel, responded to the scene.

One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was declared dead at Harlem Hospital, fire officials said.
Two others were hospitalized at Harlem Hospital for injuries sustained in the blaze. Their conditions were not immediately made available Monday morning.

"People were jumping out the window, I don't know if it was intentional,” one witness told ABC7. “When we saw the fire, the top floor was already up in flames and the roof was already starting to cave in.”
The fire was deemed under control about 1 a.m. Saturday, police said.
CBS News reported the blaze originated from a burning candle.
The prewar building at 107 West 132 St. has about 11 residential units, according to StreetEasy data.
Hours before the West 132nd Street fire, another blaze was reported at 105 East 116th Street near Lexington Avenue about 7:42 p.m., fire officials said.
The third-floor fire was doused about an hour later with no injuries reported.
