The $2K Poster Contest For Annual Uptown Arts Stroll Is On
From now until March 16, locals are encouraged to design a poster for the 23rd annual festival.

HARLEM, NY — The Uptown Arts Stroll — the annual curb-side arts festival from West 125th to West 220th Street every June — will be here before you know it, and now is the time for the artistically inclined to submit their poster designs for the event.
From now until March 16, creatives from West Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood are encouraged to design a poster for the 23rd annual festival, which will include loads of live music performances and art workshops, all for free.
The winning poster design will be turned into the banner for the Uptown Arts Stroll, and the winner will also receive $2,000 in prize funds. The second-place prize is $1,000, and the third-place prize is $500.

The annual festival is organized by the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance, a non-profit arts organization started in 2006 to support and promote the works of artists and arts organizations in northern Manhattan.
"Each year we are increasingly impressed by the creativity, talent and enthusiasm of participating artists, who are deeply invested in this annual total arts event," Niria E. Leyva-Gutiérrez, the director of the Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance, said.
