9 Hurt In Harlem Apartment Building Fire, Blocks From December Blaze
A fire broke out late Tuesday in an apartment building on 141st Street, where another devastating blaze displaced dozens last month.

HARLEM, NY — A fire in a Harlem apartment building injured nine people Tuesday night, a few blocks from the site of another devastating blaze.
Flames broke out just before 8:30 p.m. on the second floor of 137 West 141st st., a six-story building between Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. and Malcolm X boulevards, an FDNY spokesperson said.
Nine residents suffered minor injuries. Four of them were taken to Harlem Hospital and another five declined medical attention, the FDNY said.

The fire was brought under control by around 9:30 p.m., authorities said.
The fire's cause and origin are under investigation, according to the FDNY.
