Amazon Delivery Man Jumped In East Harlem, Hit With Bottle: Police

An Amazon delivery man was attacked and chased by four people near East 117th Street, police said.

HARLEM, NY — An Amazon delivery man was attacked in East Harlem, police said on Wednesday.

A 27-year-old man was delivering packages in front of 402 E. 117th St., when a group walked up to him about 5 p.m. on July 13, police said.

A member of the group asked him what packages he had in his bag, while another struck the delivery man in the back of the head with a glass bottle, police said.

The group then chased the man toward First Avenue, where they punched and kicked him, before running away, police said.

The delivery man was treated at a local hospital for head injuries, police said.
