Argument Leads To Harlem Club Shooting, Police Say

A man walked into a Lenox Avenue club, grabbed a gun and shot a man outside the business, police say.

HARLEM, NY — An argument outside of a Lenox Avenue club sparked a shooting in front of the business, police said.

Two men were arguing outside the Gin Fizz Nightclub on Lenox Avenue and West 126th Street during the early morning hours of Jan. 25 when one of the men went inside the club and grabbed a gun, police said. Upon returning to the street, the man opened fire, hitting his 25two-year-old rival in the left shoulder, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Medics rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, police said. The man survived the gunshot wound and eventually was released.

Police released a photo of the suspected gunman this week. No arrests have been made and the investigation into the shooting is ongoing, police said.
