Arrest Made In Deadly Shooting Of Harlem 65-YO Killed During Robbery
Trenton Henry, 28, is accused of killing Anthony Williams during a daytime robbery on Lenox Avenue in September, police said.

HARLEM, NY - An East Harlem man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a beloved 65-year-old Harlemite during a daytime robbery in September, authorities said.
Trenton Henry, 28, of Park Avenue, was arrested in Harlem Thursday and charged with murder and robbery for the fatal shooting of Anthony Williams on Sept. 20, police said.
Williams was in front of 639 Lenox Ave. about 11:19 a.m. when Henry reportedly took Williams’ property, police said. Williams tried to stop the robbery when he was shot in the chest by the thief, police said.

Medics transported Williams to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where he was later pronounced dead.
The assailant fled in a black Nissan Maxima southbound on Lenox Avenue, police said.

Neighbors told the New York Daily News Williams would regularly serve jerk chicken, sometimes for free, on the same street corner.
“He’s a good guy. He was always here on the corner just talking to everybody and being nice and he used to sell food,” the victim’s niece, Leah Middleton, told the New York Post. Others told the outlet Williams he was a “family man” who was an “an absolutely all-around nice person.”
