BMW Driver Who Rammed Kid In Harlem Arrested, Police Say
The driver intentionally mounted a curb to hit the 8-year-old boy and his dad, police said.

HARLEM, NY — A man is facing charges for driving a BMW onto a Harlem sidewalk in order to run down an 8-year-old boy and his father in a vicious attack, police said.
Thomas Green, 27, was arrested Wednesday and charged with attempted murder and assault, police said. Green is accused of jumping a curb and slamming his car into a father and son before hopping out of the vehicle to slash the father on the face.
The horrific crash was caught on video which shows the pedestrians being hit with such force they smash through a gate in front of an apartment building. The pair were walking on West 112th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and St. Nicholas Avenue on Nov. 6 when they were hit, police said.

The boy and his dad were treated for non-life threatening injuries at Harlem Hospital, an NYPD spokesman said.
Police said they believe the man was specifically targeted.

A second suspect, who helped drive the car from the scene after the attack, has not been arrested.
