Body Found In Woods Near Riverside Drive In Harlem, Police Say

HARLEM, NY — A dead body was discovered in the woods Wednesday off Riverside Drive in the Hamilton Heights section of Harlem, police said.

Officers responded to Riverside Drive and West 147th Street around 5 p.m. to find the badly decomposed body of a man in a wooded area, police said. The man — who has not been identified — was declared dead at the scene by EMS, police said.

The city medical examiner will investigate the man's identity and cause of death, police said.
