Child And Firefighter Injured In Harlem Building Blaze: FDNY
A firefighter was seriously injured in a blaze that broke out Thursday afternoon on West 135th Street, FDNY said.

HARLEM, NY — A blaze broke out Thursday afternoon in a Harlem building that left a child hurt and a firefighter seriously injured, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.
The fire ignited around 12:30 p.m. within a six-story building at 111 W. 135th St., near Malcolm X Boulevard, FDNY said.
A total of 60 firefighters responded to the blaze, and were able to get it under control by 3 p.m., FDNY said.

The spokesperson did not specify the injuries outside of it being minor for the child, and serious for the firefighter — both of who were transported to Harlem Hospital, FDNY said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
