Cousin Convicted In Killing Of Harlem Mom Found In Storage Tub: DA
The man hid his cousin's body while he stole her money, used her apartment and convinced her child to cover up for him, authorities said.
EAST HARLEM, NY - A Manhattan jury on Wednesday convicted the cousin of a woman who was killed in 2022 and whose body was left inside a storage container on the side of a Bronx road for days, authorities said.
Khalid Barrow , of the Bronx, was found guilty of murder, concealing a human corpse and related charges in the death of 35-year-old Nisaa Walcott of East Harlem, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said in a statement. Barrow hid Walcott’s body for days while he stole her money, used her apartment and convinced her young child to cover up for him, Bragg added.
“Her death left a hole in her family that can never be filled, and my heart goes out to her loved ones,” Bragg said in a statement. “I thank the members of the jury for the time and attention they paid to the evidence in this deeply disturbing case.”
