Early-Morning Fire Breaks Out In Harlem Residential Building: FDNY

Nobody was injured in a fire that ignited Friday morning within a building at 114 W. 131st St., FDNY said.

HARLEM, NY — A fire broke out in a residential building in Harlem on Friday morning, an FDNY spokesperson told Patch.

Flames erupted on the third floor of 114 W. 131st St., between Malcolm X and Adam Clayton Powell Jr. boulevards, about 5:30 a.m., the FDNY said.

Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control by 6:40 a.m., the spokesperson said.

There were no injuries reported.

FDNY is investigating the cause of the fire.
