East Harlem Man Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In The Bronx: Police
The 62-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck on New Year's Eve by a pickup truck driver who fled the scene, police said.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A man from East Harlem was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in The Bronx on New Year's Eve, according to police.
Edwin Rivera, 62, was struck by the driver of a Dodge Ram near the corner of Broadway and West 238th Street about 4:30 a.m. on Dec. 31, police said.
The driver, who was heading north on Broadway below the elevated 1 train tracks, did not stay at the scene, police said.

Police responding to a 911 call found Rivera unconscious and unresponsive with trauma across his body. He was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he later died, police said.
Rivera lived in the NYCHA Wagner Houses on East 120th Street, according to authorities.

Nobody has been arrested but an investigation is ongoing, police said.
At least 41 people have been injured in 31 combined crashes at that intersection since 2011, including 13 pedestrians, five cyclists and 23 drivers, according to city data.
