Fire In Harlem Apartment Building Leaves 1 Injured, Police Say
One civilian was hurt in the Monday afternoon fire, which sent smoke billowing out of the Central Harlem apartment building.

HARLEM, NY — One person was injured in a fire that broke out Monday afternoon in a Central Harlem apartment building, authorities said.
The fire began around 5 p.m. on the third floor of 101 West 130th St., a six-story building on the corner of Lenox Avenue, according to the FDNY.
One civilian was taken to Harlem Hospital with unspecified injuries, the department said. Video taken by a bystander showed smoke billowing out of the building's third floor as a firefighter used an axe to smash the apartment's windows.

The fire was brought under control shortly before 6 p.m., police said. The cause is under investigation.
