Harlem City Council Race: Where The Endorsements Stand In District 9
With Kristin Richardson Jordan dropping out of the race, it has become a three-way battle between Inez Dickens, Al Taylor and Yusef Salaam.

HARLEM, NY — June only means one thing in New York City. Primary month.
The Democratic primary for Harlem's District 9 will take place on June 27, and the race looks a whole lot different than it did at the beginning of May.
First-term incumbent Kristin Richardson Jordan announced on Instagram May 16 that she would no longer be seeking re-election.

Her departure from the race means that it becomes a three-person primary, between Assembly Member Inez Dickens, Assembly Member Al Taylor, and member of the exonerated Central Park 5 Yusef Salaam.
Jordan's name will still be on the ballot in June, though, since she missed the deadline to decline her spot.
