Harlem Couple Showered With Gifts On 'Ellen' After Birth Of Son
Ellen Degeneres surprised the new parents with gifts from the show's Mother's Day episodes.

HARLEM, NY — A pair of new Harlem parents were surprised with scores of gifts just days after the birth of their son during an appearance on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show" this week.
Cameron, a firefighter, and La’Shay, a therapist, chatted with DeGeneres about balancing the birth of their son Cameron Jr. with their high-pressure jobs, which have only become more essential during the novel coronavirus crisis.
"We're grateful to be in the position that we are in, to be able to help our community in this time of need," Cameron said during the appearance.

About halfway into the appearance, DeGeneres surprised the Harlemites by announcing that they would receive all the gifts given away during the show's Mother's Day episode. DeGeneres showered the couple with gifts because they were recently victims of a robbery. Somebody recently broke into Cameron's car and stole a "go bag" containing supplies for the newborn baby.
The gifts include: $500 gift cards to services such as Dhutterfly and Daily Harvets, a $300 gift card to Amazon, a stroller, car seat, a diaper bag, a highchair and $20,000 in cash.
