Harlem Home Invaders Pose As Building Super, Police Say

Two men barged into a Frederick Douglass Boulevard and pistol whipped the man who lived there during a violent home invasion robbery.

HARLEM, NY — A man posing as the super of a Harlem building threatened a resident with a gun during a violent home invasion robbery, police said.

The stick-up man knocked on the door of an apartment in a building on Frederick Douglass Boulevard and West 141 Street on Thursday, Nov. 7 and claimed he was the building's super, police said. When the resident opened his door, two men barged into the apartment, pistol whipped the man and held him at gunpoint, said police.

Robbers demanded the resident tell them where he keeps money and jewelry, but eventually ran off with a backpack containing headphones, cell phone chargers and personal papers, police said.
