Harlem Man Is Reported Missing, Police Say

Police asked for help finding a 41-year-old man who was last seen leaving his West Harlem home early Thursday.

Jahary Canto, 41, was last seen around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, leaving his home on West 135th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam avenues, police said.

HARLEM, NY — Police appealed to the public for help finding a West Harlem man who has been missing since early Thursday.

Jahary Canto, 41, was last seen around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, leaving his home on West 135th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam avenues, police said.

Canto is described as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a navy blue jacket, a long-sleeve navy blue shirt with "American Eagle" written on it, dark ripped jeans and black Jordan sneakers.

Police shared a photo of Canto and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
