One Man Dead, Another Charged With Murder In Harlem Stabbing: NYPD

The victim was found by police with two stab wounds in the chest and one in the neck, said authorities.

HARLEM, NY — Police have charged a Hamilton Heights man on Saturday with criminal possession of a weapon and murder in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Friday.

On Friday, Austin Simon, 37, who lived in Central Harlem, was found by police with two stab wounds to the chest and one to the neck at 3422 Broadway and was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem, where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

Jose Alba, 61, was arrested in connection to the assault at the scene, in which a knife was recovered, said police.

No motive has been determined for the stabbing as of yet and the investigation remains ongoing, police added.
