HARLEM, NY — Police have confirmed the death of a 3-year-old boy that fell from the 29th floor balcony of a high rise Saturday morning. After being rushed to Harlem Hospital, the child was pronounced dead 20 minutes later at 11:30 a.m., according to officials.
“Unfortunately, the baby passed away,” said a police spokesman, who did not have further details on whether the death was an accident or if the child was left unattended. “It’s still under investigation.”
The child fell on scaffolding on the third floor at an apartment complex at 2253 Third Avenue and was initially in critical condition earlier this morning, said police.
