Large Knife Pulled In Harlem Deli Attack And Robbery Attempt: Police
A stand of chips and multiple produce items were hurled by a trio that attacked deli workers at 1 Convent Ave., NYPD said.

HARLEM, NY — A large knife was pulled and produce items got hurled as three people recently tried to rob a deli in Harlem, police said on Monday.
The trio walked into Eleganza Gourmet Deli at 1 Convent Ave. around 3 p.m. on Jan. 11, police said. Two men in the group walked up to an employee behind the counter and demanded money, NYPD added.
When the employees refused, the trio flashed a large knife, threw kitchen knives from the deli, hurled products and produce, and did their best to trash the store, police said.

The three people pushed over multiple stands of food, knocked over products, and threw what appeared to be watermelons in the direction of the employees, police said.
The trio then fled the store on foot, police said.
