Man Fatally Shot In E Harlem Public Housing Tower, Police Say

EAST HARLEM, NY — A man was shot and killed Wednesday night inside an East Harlem public housing building, police said.

Officers responded to a building in the Johnson Houses development on East 115th Street near Park Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. Wednesday to find 44-year-old Richard Robayo suffering a gunshot wound to the head, police said. Medics declared the Wards Island resident dead at the scene.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting and an NYPD investigation is ongoing, a department spokesperson said.
