Man Fires Shots On Crowded East Harlem Sidewalk: Police, Video

Police are looking for a man seen on video firing a gun toward a crowded East Harlem sidewalk earlier this month.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A man fired gunshots in broad daylight on a crowded East Harlem sidewalk, according to police, who asked for help finding the gunman.

The unidentified man walked up to the corner of Madison Avenue and East 116th Street at around 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 8, police said.

He then took out a gun and shot it "toward a crowded section of the sidewalk," placing pedestrians in serious danger, police said.

No injuries were reported, and police did not say whether the man was firing at anyone in particular.

Police described the suspect as a man with a slim build, last seen wearing an all black sweat suit with green lettering on the back and light sneakers.
