Man Mugged Near Harlem Subway Station, Police Say
A mugger followed the victim off a train and attacked him a few blocks away from the station.

HARLEM, NY — A man was followed off the train in Harlem and mugged blocks away from the 145th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue subway stop, police said.
A 48-year-old man was exiting the train station on Wednesday night when he was approached by an unknown man who tugged on his backpack, police said. The man continued to follow him for about two blocks, eventually attacking in front of a building on St. Nicholas Avenue and West 147th Street, police said.
The mugger punched the man in the face several times, knocked him to the ground and snatched his necklace and wallet, police said. The victim suffered bruising and swelling to his face but refused medical attention, an NYPD spokesman said.

Police released photos of the suspected mugger that were taken by security cameras in the West 145th Street station. No arrests have been made in connection with the mugging and the NYPD investigation is ongoing, police said.
