Man Shot In Harlem Robbery Attempt, Police Say
A man was shot in the head in a Central Harlem robbery attempt Monday evening, but was expected to survive, police said.

HARLEM, NY — A man was shot in the head during an attempted robbery in Harlem Monday evening, according to police.
The victim, a 32-year-old man, was grazed by a bullet on West 137th Street shortly after 9 p.m., according to police.
He was expected to survive, an NYPD spokesperson said.

Police were unsure which cross-street was closest to the shooting site, but it happened within the 32nd Precinct, which spans from St. Nicholas Avenue to Adam CLayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard.
The suspect, described only as a person wearing a mask, fled on foot in an unknown direction, police said.

Police did not say whether the suspect and the victim knew each other, nor whether any money was stolen.
