Man Shot On Harlem Street Corner, Police Say
The 30-year-old man was hospitalized after being shot in the abdomen. He is expected to survive his injuries.
HARLEM, NY — Police are investigating a shooting that injured a man early Friday morning on a Harlem street corner, an NYPD spokesman said.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the abdomen around 4 a.m. on Seventh Avenue and West 123rd Street, police said. Police could not confirm many details about the shooting, but did say that a suspect has not been identified and that nobody is in custody.
EMS rushed the victim to Harlem Hospital, where he is expected to recover from his injuries, an NYPD spokesman said.

Friday's shooting is the seventh reported in the 28th Precinct this year. Seven total people have been hurt in the shootings, according to NYPD crime statistics as of June 30. The precinct, which spans Central Harlem between Central Park North and West 127th Street, has seen an increase in shootings this year. At this time in 2018, there had only been one reported shooting with two victims, according to the precinct's crime statistics.
