Man Shot And Killed Over The Weekend In East Harlem: Police
A 55-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday at East 116th Street and Lexington Avenue, police said.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A man was shot and killed in East Harlem on Saturday, police said.
A 55-year-old man was found shot in the chest and leg at East 116th Street and Lexington Avenue about 11:30 p.m., police said.
He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
Among those frightened by the shooting was New York City Democratic District Leader Peggy Morales, according to ABC News.

"It's alarming that I had to come downstairs and usher my grandchildren and their mom into their apartment to make sure they got in safely," Morales reportedly said.
"It's concerning. This is a good neighborhood and it's got a lot of good people in it."
