Man Stabbed By Masked Gang In Riverside Park: Police

A man was assaulted and stabbed by a group of 15-20 men in ski masks early Wednesday morning, police said.

HARLEM, NY – At about 1:10 a.m. on Wednesday, a 32-year-old man was enjoying a late night with friends in Riverside Park near 143rd Street and Riverside Drive when he was approached by a large group of 15-20 men in ski masks, police said.

The group began assaulting the victim, kicking and punching him, according to police. When he fought back, during the struggle one of the men stabbed the victim in the lower abdomen with an unknown object, police said.

The assailants fled southbound down Riverside Drive on bicycles, according to police.

The victim was transported to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, officials said.

No arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
