Man Stabbed While Breaking Up Fight In Harlem, Police Say
A man got in the middle of a street fight outside the Harlem Center and paid the price.
HARLEM, NY — A good Samaritan tried to break up a fight in Harlem this weekend, but was stabbed for his efforts, police said.
The 25-year-old man put himself in the middle of a fight on that broke out around 2 a.m. in front of the Harlem Center shopping facility on West 125th Street and Lenox Avenue, police said. When the man stepped in, one of the fighters pulled a knife and stabbed him multiple times in the torso, an NYPD spokesperson said.
Medics rushed the man to a nearby hospital, where he was treated in stable condition, police said. The NYPD released security photos (seen above) of the two men involved in the fight, who are wanted for assault. Both suspects are described as men in their early or mid 30s.
