Man Struck, Killed By Train In Harlem Thursday: NYPD

HARLEM, NY - A straphanger was fatally struck by a D train at the 116th Street subway station near Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem Thursday night, authorities said.

The man, whose identity was not made public as of Friday morning, jumped in front of a northbound D train that was pulling into the station about 9:04 p.m., police said.

Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. The investigation remains ongoing.

Last month, a man in his 50s was struck by a 3 train at the West 116th Street & Malcolm X Boulevard station, Patch previously reported. The victim was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
