Harlem Man Tried To Shoot Sky: Video
Video shows a man pulling out a gun and firing it into the air on a Harlem street earlier this month. Police asked for help finding him.
EAST HARLEM, NY — Police asked for help identifying a man who fired a gun into the air on an East Harlem street earlier this month, as seen on video.
It happened around 7:15 a.m. on Feb. 1, as the unidentified man walked near East 132nd Street and Madison Avenue.
Video shared by police shows the man walking with the gun in his right hand, then aiming at the sky and firing into the air. He then continues walking calmly along the sidewalk, toward Park Avenue.

There were no injuries or property damage, police said.

Police, who plan to charge the man with reckless endangerment, asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
