HARLEM, NY — Mayor Eric Adams and "ITSALLBLACKMUSICPRESENTS" announced lineups for a free summer block party series, as well as live conversations between leaders in hip hop — including at the Apollo Theater in Harlem and a community block party.

The free live-talk will take place on August 12 at 1 p.m. at the Apollo Theater at 253 W. 125th St., with special to-be-announced guests.

The event will celebrate 50 years of hip hop with a moderated conversation that will explore the "incredible cultural and global impact of hip hop, the continued growth and innovation of the genre, and the many ways the culture has dominated all areas," reads a news release for the night.
