NYC Adds Upper Manhattan Coronavirus Antibody Testing Sites
Free antibody tests will be offered through Friday, July 24 at community sites and city-run health centers.
HARLEM, NY — Upper Manhattan residents who want to find out if they've developed antibodies for the novel coronavirus will be able to get tested at new community testing sites in July, city officials said.
The city is setting up a testing site at Gregorio Luperon High School for Science and Mathematics on West 165th Street and will also offer walk-in testing at NYC Health + Hospitals' Dyckman and Sydenham clinics in Inwood and Harlem.
Appointments for free antibody testing at Gregorio Luperon can be made through July 24 for Mondays through Fridays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. or on the weekend from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., city officials said. The NYC Health + Hospitals facilities will offer testing during their hours of operation.

"So many New Yorkers are wondering whether they've had the virus, or if they've exposed their own families," Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a statement. "While antibody tests are not a fix-all solution, they will give our communities the knowledge they need to help us safely reopen our city."
The antibody testing initiative is being conducted by the city through a partnership with BioReference Laboratories. Community testing centers are being established in all five boroughs and 11 NYC Health + Hospitals locations throughout the city. A similar initiative saw 47,000 New Yorkers tested earlier this year.
