NYPD Officer Hit In Face By Firework During July 4 Crowd Control, 2 Other Cops Injured
A New York City police officer was hit in the face by a firework during July 4 crowd control, two other cops injured, NYPD said.
NEW YORK CITY — A police officer was hit in the face with a firework during a July 4 celebration early Saturday morning in Harlem, the New York Police Department told Patch.
The officer was hit in the eyebrow by the firework while trying to control a crowd at 125th Street and Lenox Avenue around 1:15 a.m.
The injured officer was among those responding to reports of “a large, disorderly group” in the area, NYPD said.

He was brought to a local hospital with a laceration to his face.

Two other officers also suffered minor injuries to both arms while dispersing the crowd and were brought to a local hospital, the department said.
No arrests have been made as of Saturday at 6 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
