Only 5 Harlem Businesses Participate In NYC Restaurant Week

The bi-annual dining promotion offers discounts on two-course lunches and three-course dinners.

HARLEM, NY — NYC Restaurant Week offers foodies the chance to dine on discounted lunches and dinners at more than 360 restaurants, but Harlemites will largely be force to leave the neighborhood to take advantage of the promotion.

Only five restaurants in Harlem are participating in this winter's restaurant week, which runs from Jan. 21 to Feb. 9, according to the city tourism agency NYC & Company. That number is down from six restaurants that participated during the summer 2018 restaurant week.

Twenty-three of the restaurants in this year's NYC Restaurant Week are first-time participants in the promotion, according to NYC & Company, but none of the newcomers are located above 110th Street in Manhattan.
