Pedestrian Killed On Harlem River Drive, Police Say
The NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident.

HARLEM, NY — A 53-year-old man was killed by a car while crossing the road on Harlem River Drive early on Sunday morning, New York City Police Department officers said.
According to the NYPD, the pedestrian was struck by a 74-year-old driver in a black Nissan while crossing the southbound Harlem River Drive on foot near East 123 Street at 5:52 a.m. on Sunday.
Medics responded to the scene and rushed the pedestrian to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The driver of the Nissan remained on the scene, and no arrests have been made yet, but the NYPD Highway District's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the incident, police said.
Police are waiting to release the name of the victim until his family is properly notified, officials said.
