Gunmen Force Way Into Harlem Home, Rob Woman Of $10K: NYPD
Two robbers forced themselves into the woman's apartment as she was leaving to take out the garbage, police said.

EAST HARLEM, NY — Two people robbed a 73-year-old woman of $10,000 in cash on Thursday after forcing themselves into her Harlem apartment and threatening her with a gun, police said.
The two robbers, a man and a woman, spotted the woman leaving her apartment in the 1580 block of Park Avenue to throw out her garbage on Thursday at about 12:40 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.
As the woman walked back to her apartment, the two robbers pushed themselves inside with her, police said. One of the robbers pointed a gun at the woman and demanded her money, police said.

The woman retrieved $10,000 in cash from a safe in the apartment, according to the NYPD.
The robbers ran off with the cash and haven't yet been caught.

The woman was not injured during the robbery, police said.
