HARLEM, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

Relationship to nominee: I know her in my role as 2nd Vice Chair of Manhattan Community Board 10.
Reason for recognition: When there is a shooting or act of violence, Iesha and her team is often the first on the scene. Often she single handedly defused dangerous situations; prevents retaliation and is a great support to police and other community partners.
One thing to know: She is loving, courageous and fearless.
