Subway Rider Attacked In East Harlem Station, Police Say
A 60-year-old man was approached by an unknown person and struck in the head.

EAST HARLEM, NY — A man riding the subway in East Harlem was attacked at random in a neighborhood 6 train station, police said.
The 60-year-old victim was entering the East 103rd Street and Lexington Avenue station on the night of Feb. 18 when he was approached by an unknown person and struck in the head with an unknown object, police said.
Medics treated the man at Mt. Sinai Hospital for injuries to his eye and nose, police said.

A motive for the attack is unknown, police said. Investigators released a photo of a suspect Tuesday that was taken by a security camera in the 103rd street station on the day of the attack.
