Suspect Arrested In 2020 Harlem Shooting That Wounded Girl, 8
Two years after stray bullets wounded three people, including an 8-year-old girl, on a Harlem block, a suspect has been arrested, cops said.

HARLEM, NY — A suspect has been arrested two years after gunfire erupted on a Harlem street corner, wounding three bystanders including an 8-year-old girl, police announced Friday.
Terrell Owens, 30, a Chelsea resident, faces a dozen charges in connection to the Oct. 31, 2020 shooting in front of the Fine Fare supermarket on Lenox Avenue between West 116th and 117th streets.
Around 7 p.m. that Halloween night, two men got into an argument that escalated into a gunfight, with both men firing several rounds at each other on the street, police said.

Stray bullets struck three people: a 36-year-old woman hit in the right arm, a 39-year-old man also shot in the right arm, and the 8-year-old girl, who was hit in the right knee, police said.
The girl was the man's daughter, and the two had been trick-or-treating when shots rang out, ABC7 reported at the time.

The woman was taken to a hospital by paramedics, while the man transported himself and his daughter to Harlem Hospital, police said. All victims were listed in stable condition.
In the ensuing weeks, police shared surveillance photos and video showing the man whose gun fired the stray bullets. By December 2020, authorities named Owens as the suspect, but police announced no arrests until this week.
Owens, who lives in the NYCHA Chelsea Houses, has been charged with three counts each of attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and criminal weapon possession, police said.
An investigation is ongoing, police said.
