Suspect In Brutal Harlem Attempted Rape Arrested, Police Say
Rasheen Davis, 39, faces attempted murder and attempted rape charges, police announced.

HARLEM, NY — A Bronx man accused of kicking a woman in the head and trying to rape her in a Harlem street was arrested Wednesday, police said.
Rasheen Davis, 39, stands accused of beating a 43-year-old woman into critical condition on West 123rd Street between Lenox Avenue and Adam Clayton Boulevard late Friday night, police said.
Davis, of Belmont, will face charges of attempted murder, attempted rape, robbery and sex abuse after his Wednesday morning arrest, police said.

Police accuse Davis of punching the woman in the back of the head, knocking her to the ground, then kicked her and dragged her between two parked cars.
The woman, left with severe head trauma, was rushed to Harlem Hospital in critical condition, according to the NYPD.
