Video: Harlem Bus Passenger Stabbed Unprovoked; Police Seek Suspect

Video shows a man staring at his fellow passenger on board a Harlem bus, then stabbing him as other straphangers scramble to safety.

HARLEM, NY — Police released video of a man stabbing a fellow passenger on board an MTA bus in Harlem earlier this month, as authorities search for the assailant.

A 38-year-old man was riding a bus serving as a shuttle for the 2 train around 1 a.m. on Aug. 11, when an unknown man stabbed him in the right forearm and slashed him on the right hand without provocation, police said.

Video released Sunday appears to show the suspect sitting next to the victim and staring at him, then beginning to stab him repeatedly as fellow passengers scramble to the opposite end of the crowded bus.

The man got off the bus before police arrived and fled in an unknown direction, police told Patch at the time.
