Where To Go Sledding In Harlem After The Snowfall

Before the snow melts in Harlem, here's a list from the Parks Department showing the best places to go sledding in the neighborhood.

HARLEM, NY — There's good news for Harlem families looking to get outside and enjoy the more than 5 inches of snow that were dumped on Manhattan this morning.

The Parks Department has a list of the best places to go sledding across the five boroughs — and the Manhattan list includes two parks in Harlem.

The two locations are Morningside Park and St. Nicholas Park, both of which feature big, sloping hills perfect for sledding down.

For Morningside Park, the department recommends three different sledding spots: at the southern end near 110th Street; a few blocks up at 113th Street and Morningside Avenue; and toward the middle of the park at 122nd Street and Morningside Avenue.

In St. Nicholas Park, the city recommends the giant lawn behind the 135th Street Plaza. That's the same lawn that was renamed last year in honor of James Baldwin.
