Woman Attacks Bus Driver In East Harlem, Police Say
An on-duty bus driver was sprayed with a mysterious substance by a passenger on East 125th Street.

EAST HARLEM, NY — The NYPD is trying to identify a woman who attacked a bus driver on East Harlem's 125th Street, police said.
A woman riding an M60 bus making its way up 125th Street on Oct. 2 approached the driver as the bus came to a stop near Second Avenue and sprayed the man with an unknown substance, police said. After the assault, the woman hopped off the bus and fled the scene, police said.
Medics treated the bus driver for injuries at the scene, but did not need to take him to the hospital, police said.

Police described the suspect as a woman in her 40s or 50s who stands about 5-foot-9 with short black hair. She was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a light brown dress and a red purse. Police recently released a photo of the woman (seen above) taken on a security camera inside the bus.
