Woman Hit, Killed By Subway In Harlem: Police
A woman who was apparently walking on the subway tracks was fatally struck by a train at a Harlem station on Tuesday, police said.
HARLEM, NY — A woman was struck and killed by a train at a Harlem subway station on Tuesday while apparently walking on the tracks, according to police.
It happened at 9 p.m. at the 137th Street-City College station on Broadway. The 40-year-old woman was seen walking on the tracks just before she was hit by a downtown 1 train, an NYPD spokesperson said.
She was rushed to Mount Sinai-Morningside Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The woman's name was not immediately released, and police could not say why she had been on the tracks.
